FREE Local Splash Pads

Montgomery & Chester County Splash Pad Guide

June 7, 2025

Summer heat can be tough to beat, especially on a budget, but here's a list of FREE local splash pads you can cool off at this summer.

1). Fountain of Youth Spray Park

Memorial Park

Address: 255 Manatawny St, Pottstown, PA 19464

Located in Pottstown, this is probably the closest splash pad for our readers.

Pros:

  • Small and shaded for those looking for a quick cool off in the summer.
  • Benches for adults located very close to the pad
  • Adjacent to the park for more outdoor fun!
  • Bathroom close proximity

Cons:

2). Montgomeryville Township Splash Pad

1030 Horsham Rd, Montgomeryville, PA 18936

The largest & most popular local option.

Pros:

  • Large splash pad with many water elements (both fountains from the ground and dumping from above)
  • Great for kids of all ages
  • Sun shades and benches in portion of splash pad area (great to keep littles engaged and out of direct sun)
  • Public bathrooms
  • Playground on site for more fun.
  • Water runs continuously
  • Clean/well maintained

Cons:

  • Very little seating.  Bring a picnic blanket to spread on the grass.
  • Aside from sun shades, there is very little natural shade
  • Popular.  Can be crowded.

3). Bell Tavern Park

100 Bell Tavern Rd, Downingtown, PA 19335

A little bit of a drive, but offers an afternoon full of fun.

Pros:

  • Huge park complete with picnic tables, playground and sand volleyball court (or sandbox if you're a toddler!)
  • Plenty of trees for shade
  • Water turns on at 11am (shuts off at 5pm) and runs continuously
  • Plenty of water builds up on the pad- bring toys (boats, buckets) to enhance the fun
  • Dog friendly
  • Pavilions

Cons:

  • Water feature is two large poles with buckets that fill and then dump onto the splash pad.  If your child doesn't like water dumped on them this can be a con.
  • Only one water feature
  • Popular and can be crowded.
  • No shade over actual splash pad area
